Forgive me if this has been covered, I can't seem to find it. I'm interested in picking up a Scorpion and only really want to get it so I can SBR it. It's been brought to my attention that since I'll be "making" a rifle, compliance with 922r is incumbent upon me. Makes sense, I just wonder if anyone knows yet what will be necessary and available to be compliant. The design is such that it seems hard to not go over 10 of these items.
(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings
(2) Barrels
(3) Barrel extensions
(4) Mounting blocks (trunions)
(5) Muzzle attachments
(6) Bolts
(7) Bolt carriers
(8) Operating rods
(9) Gas pistons
(10) Trigger housings
(11) Triggers
(12) Hammers
(13) Sears
(14) Disconnectors
(15) Butt stocks
(16) Pistol grips
(17) Forearms, hand guards
(18) Magazine bodies
(19) Followers
(20) Floorplates
Has anyone heard of any domestic manufacturers tooling up to put out enough parts to actually make this thing compliant?
