Have you done any heat testing? Wonder what they feel like with some mag dumps.

I cant imagine that any of these rail covers would do much for a KMR/NSR.

After running multiple VTAC 1-5 drills yesterday, I am convinced that the KMR has to be paired with gloves regardless of rail covers.

I have found that to be indeed true with both NSR and KMR. Covers help the heat problem, but don't solve it. Still need gloves to shoot the things in a typical carbine course.

I've now used the Noveske Rail Panels on the NSR and KMR, and find no issues with them... they work great for me.

Haven't ever seen/used the MI Rail Panels so I can't comment on them.

No heat testing as of yet. My assumption is they will help but not solve heat issues. I tried to set things up to avoid direct metal to hand contact, without getting too carried away.

Looks like Tangodown is entering the Keymod rail cover market as well, according to their Instagram feed. I've always liked their SCAR rail covers. They are also releasing a Keymod VFG and a handstop.

Fosho. There's just not enough air around the barrel (handguard too slim) to dissipate enough heat without it getting to your hand.

Why do the loudest do the least?
