To be clear for me personally my hesitancy has nothing to do with proper BZO. I'm pretty confident it will zero. My hesitancy is purist/ocd related. Not sure if that's overkill or not here...

Interesting results so far. I was expecting more of a 50/50 type response.

I believe Colt is shipping newer AR15A4's with F marked front sites now.

They are, I called Colt and they confirmed everything produced after Summer 2014 (no official month) would have the F-marked FSB. I've been calling a number of online retailers and the ones that have the ability to check all have rifles from Feb 2014.

I dunno man, you might get chastised by your friends. That's serious business.

    Attempt at humor failed.

Maybe. I'm not looking for anyone else's approval at all though. I know I don't want the rifle without the F-marked FSB. I can live with the M4 feedramps.

I started the thread to see how "odd" I was for this preference. According to the poll I'm pretty odd

If collectables are your thing, then look at it this way ... down the road this run of guns will have their place in the history of Colt rifles. Moreover, it can always be lettered as having been shipped from the factory that way. If its a matter of preference then sit tight and let them work their way into current inventories.

I think it would have history for the wrong reasons and be less desirable. Of course that is one man's opinion. I def don't see the non F-marked being MORE valuable but please clue me in if I'm missing something. I see it being the same value at best or lower value at worst.

Absolutely. I think I'm just going to have to park my impatient ass and wait.
