Not to sound snarky, but do yourself a favor and stop listening to people who are not physicians. I treat injuries like this without medication, surgery or even expensive advanced imaging on a regular basis and have great success. Hell, last week a kid came to me whose ATC told him he had separated his shoulder. His shoulder was not separated, so I treated him twice, released him from care and today he is 100%.
Find an active release techniques provider and get this thing treated conservatively before you opt in for an expensive MRI or unnecessary surgery. http://www.activerelease.com
Ortho doc says right shoulder was probably the bursa popping as there is no weakness out loss of ROM.
Left shoulder is another story. In the process of scheduling an MRI for it.

Be careful with the simple range of motion tests. If you're used to dealing with pain they aren't dead nuts on. I passed mine with flying colors and was about to be set free and the doc took another look at the x-ray before I went out the door. MRI later showed anterior labral tear, long biceps tendon damage and another tendon mangled in the back. Pay attention to your body and if it still doesn't feel right get it looked at again if need be.
Right shoulder was rebuilt in 2009. Hurt it last Friday benching. Left shoulder is long-time progressive damage/pain. It's getting the MRI this week. Distinct weakness in resisting the inward rotation of the left arm, especially compared to the right side. Right side has been improving significantly since Friday, with rest and NSAIDS. Both xrays were negative (and Yay! no arthritic damage to either shoulder so far)

Sway from that bar! Do your benching with dumbbells. Bar always gives me a problem. Just my .02 cents..
Maybe an unpopular and unsafe opinion - but whenever I injure myself lifting weights, I just work through the pain and don't change my routine at all. I've always recovered 100%. Elbow, deltod, pec, shoulder, and calf injuries have all been pushed through until I'm 100%. I'm not a doctor, just sharing what worked for me.
Still hurts, though not nearly as much now. I've avoided Bench, but done all my other lifts. OHP is not 100% though.

I hurt my upper arm same spot back in Oct lifting in Astan. Still bothers me at times (esp. at night) but gotta deal with it till I get home in Sep.
