I like it as well and I like it on the BCG. OP forget PSA and wait for the BCM, the 20" upper will come back in stock. I've never seen a canted FSB on a BCM upper but have seen more than a few on a PSA.

Plus the burden of proof for bad-mouthing PSA is pretty low around here. Same with Spikes, who also happens to be another competitor of BCM (coincidence?).

I mean just looking through this thread; Specs are iffy, but not which ones... Aluminum is a raw material while an FN CHF barrel is a finished product... Someone is hinting that a BCM would be better at 500+ yards without ever explaining why... FN making barrels to PSA specs are bad, but no one knows the specs... Assembly problems, which are justified, but you've got two people talking about seeing multiple problems with the same brand. I see a lot of guns as a cop and competitive shooter and I've never see multiple problem guns of the same brand with my own eyes... You (OP) dismissing the first poster with actual experience with the upper you want... And someone with a gritty charging handle who hasn't realized that it will smooth out with use...

Also FYI the PSA upper has the logo on the other side. I don't think anyone has added that yet.

Damn, relax. I didn't dismiss anyone. Fact of the matter is PSA's reputation (product wise not CS wise) is hit and miss at best. Are BCM products hit and miss? (Rhetorical question)

I think you're taking my tone too seriously. PSA has had their problems, but they are moving a ton more product compared to BCM and have been for years. Nowadays, they are almost entirely hits and not misses.

Boils down to this; If you're comfortable with the PSA, buy it. If you aren't, then just skip it and get what you really want.

Personally, I have no idea whether or not PSA really has bad QC/CS or if they're fine and all the negativity stems from "haters" and people regurgitating misinformation. And honestly, that is why I would rather just buy any other comparable product that I don't have to wonder about. For you happy PSA owners, rock on... this post isn't meant to call anyone here a liar or be inflammatory.

I have bought PSA rifles and parts of all types and never had an issue. I do know that they have had CS issues and I can relate to those that have to deal with their issues. However personally I have had nothing but amazing performance from their products and for what it is worth I am a Colt and BCM Larue
    fan boy.

Just to clarify. I never said the charging handle was gritty. I felt grit when I pulled the charging handle due to the roughness of the inside of the buffer tube. The charging handle was BCM. You may want to re- read my post. The buffer tube was PSA and the grittiness is still present, especially compared to my other rifles. The takedown pins were and still are very gritty and tight. I blame myself for not ordering a lower parts kit and buffer tube from a reputable company. Never again.

I have used many PSA products, and I have sold quite a few as well. Odds are, you will not have any issues, but those odds do not compare to BCM. Also, if you do have a problem, again, there is no comparison to BCM service. Reality is, PSA is entry level products at entry level prices. Choose what works for you....despite selling a lot of different brands, I actually USE BCM myself....

I like the rifle kit I got from PSA but the direction they've gone these days, I do not recommend them to anyone I feel that doesn't know what to look for in an AR. My experience with PSA customer service has been positive.

It doesn't make sense for PSA to ask for different specs on the FN 20 inch barrel. A different spec means greater cost and I haven't heard that the specs FN is using for their 20 inch barrel are lacking. PSA does use a different profile on some carbine barrels and it's been said a different gas port diameter. The 20 inch barrel is the most forgiving and there is no reason to use a larger gas port. Does anyone have documentation on 20 inch barrels FN makes for PSA have anything but a normal diameter gas port or other problem?
