And while sarcastic, there will be a few oddballs who will buy these guns just for that, I doubt very many rounds will ever be fired through them, some may never even get zeroed properly.

As for the price difference between SKU 86279 and SKU 86282, it is not just the suppressor. See the "LW" behind the model designation.

The chassis on these guns are pretty pricey, in addition to the guns being hand built.
I don't know how things are now, but it used to be that Remington supplied barreled actions rather than complete rifles to the Army and Marines and then the rifles were pretty much completely reworked by military armorers specially trained and chosen for the task.

Giving an apples to apples comparison on the feature set seems to be the fairest way to assess the pricing until the rifles end up in the hands of shooters. As I don't have a dog in this fight remaining objective isn't hard.
I feel like giving the Remington the benefit of the doubt in this instance is akin to betting that a blind, deaf, morbidly obese man in a wheel chair with no arms is going to be able to defeat a Teutonic übermensch in power armor in a circle of equals.

    Again,

Remington Defense supplies the US Army with M2010 rifles, and supplies the PSR to US SOCOM (Mk21 PSR).
It's not about surviving, it's about winning!

Remington Arms Co split their military and LE direct division and created Remington Defense to serve those markets directly. Remington Arms Co remained the civilian firearm and ammunition company. When FG took over, it became Remington Outdoor Company. There has been a Remington Defense division of Remington for the past 15 or so years and is pre-FG.

Only thing that gets my attention is their SASS rifle, but I'm in the process of assembling one of my own .308 ARs.
I'm an FFL/gunsmith, not the holster company. We specialize in subsonic ammunition and wholesale rifles.
