I bought it used and unsure of round count. I put 3000 or so rounds through myself before noticing the issue.

Just buy a Sionics LPK and pair that with an ALG or Geissele trigger of your choice.

G&R and White Oak Armory both offer lower parts kits without a mil-spec fire control group. They either give you choices for a FCG, or you can purchase one elsewhere. G&R's LPK used to be a mix of mostly LMT parts, but they now offer Colt lower parts without a FCG. I just used part of an older kit from G&R and it fit great and gives me complete confidence. I had added an ALG QMS back when I purchased it, but used a Geissele trigger instead. I also have lower parts from WOA, but I have not used them, yet.

I prefer a lower parts kit without a FCG, because I already have enough mil-spec triggers laying around. Once you go Geissele, you will not want to use anything else. They are that good.

If the RR is cheaper and you're gonna toss the fcg anyway.... It ain't a bad lower at all. I always liked the no-bs RR rollmarks and their finish is a nice flat color.

DD has some issues with the lower being over cut behind the grip leaving a small gap with some grips.

Or just get an LMT L7 complete lower. Very hard to beat for the price, and for a bit more their 2 stage is quite good. I'd rather have geissele if retrofitting, but for an OEM trigger its worth the upgrade cost

I'm all for LMT, but in my experience their 2-stage triggers aren't as good as a G2S at a comparable price. JMHO

That's pretty much what I said... If you are buying the trigger separate get the geissele.

But for $50-60 over the std trigger (street price when I last bought) its a decent value.

But you are also getting a respected lower receiver, lpk, extension, etc.

I don't build lowers anymore... Just get an L7C2 ($290-325ish) and sell the butt stock. Replace with a CTR or similar.

Again I'm new. im leaning toward the DD Lpk for 100$ I know DD is good quality but are any of the other same quality or better for less? I got on G&R and see I can mix and match but I wouldn't know what to change that would be better for 100$ on it.

As you said this will be your first build can I also assume you have very little experience with the platform as well? If so I'm going to recommend the DD LPK because it is good quality and has a mil spec trigger. Use that for a couple thousand rounds then upgrade to a better trigger once you know why you're upgrading. Don't go buy a high end trigger because someone said it's better than XYZ, you get a better trigger because you learned what you don't like about the mil spec trigger and your ability has progressed past what that trigger can provide.
