    I think there is a law somewhere that stipulates that One must own more than 1 AR mag

    Sounds reasonable to me! I'd say 3 would be absolute bare minimum!

    To keep at the ready to defend your immediate dwelling, sure.

    Mags are disposable. They wear out, break, etc. I have over 50 right now. I know there are guys here that have probably a couple hundred lol.

    I think I saw it mentioned on here that 7 was a good minimum number. And I believe that number was just at the ready.

    The way I see it is if I have an empty mag pouch in my load out, it probably needs a mag in it unless it's being intentionally used for something else.
