North Charleston, SC Officer Charged with Murder

This looks like a very bad shoot.

The officer claimed a struggle over his Taser, but is seen tossing it next to the body after the handcuffs. Q the reverends is 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.

eh, that video certainly doesn't make it look good for the officer. Wonder if there is any other video of the incident.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"

Another strong argument for body cams.

This is irrelevant to anything specific from that video or incident.

It can be acceptable to shoot a guy in the back sometimes, correct? I mean legally speaking, of course. If the guy was fighting you for your gun, then took off running toward his house where you knew there was a loaded shotgun inside, you wouldn't have to wait for him to grab the gun and shoot at you.

Again, I'm not saying this in regard to anything from the video, but you can't automatically assume the cop was in the wrong from that, can you?
Why do the loudest do the least?

What about when he unholsters his taser and drops it next to the body? I think that says more then shooting him in the back.

I'm not talking about this video. That dude is more crooked than a barrel of snakes. I'm just speaking in general.

Is it ever ok to shoot someone running away from you as an LEO?

Generally if they are an imminent threat to the public. As in they just shot some people now choose to run into an area where they may hurt some more people.

I don't know the backstory on this incident but it doesn't look good.

Here in Indiana I believe a LEO can use lethal force on a fleeing suspect if he has reason to believe he is going to hurt someone if he escapes. I think I remember reading it in the IC.
If there is no enemy within the enemy outside can do us no harm

I'd assume that most if not all states allow the shooting of fleeing felons in certain situations. If I see some guy stabbing people and he starts running towards a school you bet he is gonna get shot in the back.

This guy is ****ed. He said the suspect took his Taser and is shown dropping it near the body.
