All advise welcome I'm not really informed enough to make good choice. Maybe one of our members could start a sticky on battle ready swords for defense. Some of us are required to travel in hostile territory and a sword in our hotel room or car may save our family's bacon.

a heavy ended but kinda square style machete used to trim coconut trees a lot![]()
cane knife or banana knife also look kinda like a corn knife that I googled unless you mean something else![]()

when I lived in Honduras watching some of the folks use the machete though doing gardening etc... freaking sharp and good with those things
micasa ? have to google it again but those had some nice steel for the more traditional looking machete
but the heavy end style seems like it could do a ton of damage with a hard swing as in lop off limbs I would think
