Sounds like an appeal is going to happen. I'm wondering what basis the appeals court used to overturn the initial ruling. Also who at DOJ is going to jail for with holding evidence, obstruction of justice and civil rights violations??

The guys are screwed. I'm completely amazed why anyone still chooses to serve this admin.

I hope Mr Prince is generously funding their legal defense

If not, a fundraiser is in order

From the events described the consequences should have been Blackwater telling Iraq to FO and nothing further.

I was going to steer clear of this, but I am going to say this.

The crime scene was a joke. Evidence was tampered with an even according to media accounts there was evidence that was withheld. The use of the machine gun charges was a clear sign of using any and everything to nail these guys. Those were gov't provided and issued weapons from the DOS in Springfield, VA.

Regardless of what did or didn't happen, the case when through numerous legal procedures and a previous federal judge dismissed the charges against them. This statement from the judge says it all.

The judge said that the punishments reflected the seriousness of the crimes. He said that the U.S. government "should be commended for finding and exposing the truth of what happened."

Yeah, and to think till the bitter end the US was fighting to keep a small force in country,
with Iraq demanding all those personnel fall under Iraqi law.

To this day some of the higher ups still do not get people would walk from careers before submitting to that.

I believe I saw the SIGACT he refers to, and anyone defending these assclowns would probably also bake Bergdahl a "Welcome Home" cake.

Well in 20 years it'll be declassified and we can all see it I guess.
