Having spoken with pro-Russian Ukrainians/Ukrainian separatists, not only would I not put it past them, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually condoned such as pro-separatist propaganda.

I've not spoken with any nationalist Ukrainians, but the Putinist Ukrainians at least seem to view statism in a positive, desirable light that would completely blow away the most authoritarian Democrat or RINO, propaganda as not only a useful tool but a positive force (their propaganda, of course, not Western propaganda - which includes any news coming out of any media outlet not owned and operated by the Russian government), swingtanzen ist verbotten, &c. The values of the Putinist rebels are completely at odds with those of any liberal democratic society - and they view the Ukrainian national forces as being the pawns of NATO in a cultural war against what they view as "Russianism". To the point where they view murdering political opponents such as Nemtsov as being necessary, where they view nightclubs and fashion as Western decadence, and use the Orthodoxy of the church as both shield and sword against anything and anyone that does not serve the state.

That's not to say that there aren't fascists on the other side. But the Putinists appear to have openly embraced fascism.

They don't hate us because of our freedoms. But they sure hate our freedoms and everybody in their own country who would like to have such freedoms.

    It rarely does.

Right now the world's premier conflict involves Muslims fighting Muslims... because that happens to be the predominant religion in the Middle East.

I probably should have used some kind of emoticon, but "The Religion of Peace strikes again!" is just idiotic blather that usually accompanies some atrocity in the Middle East. It's a joke... like, "Thanks, OBAMA!" when your favorite restaurant is closed or your shoe becomes untied.

When the Narcos drop off a basket full of heads in Old Mexico, typically that phrase is not heard.

All of the world's major religions are peaceful (Islam is not a peaceful religion. To argue otherwise, is ignorant, at best.), but they are also powerful because people can be convinced of spiritual righteousness in pursuing their goals (or usually the goals of some other).

    Correct.

The Banderist Kiev junta is not our friend.

Part of our foreign policy has been to keep that region of the world broke, struggling, and desperate (Do you suppose we can live peacefully with members of a cult that wishes to destroy Western Civilization?). Our past actions have promoted this.

When terror strikes, too often Americans don't understand the why... or they pretend not to.

Until we adopt a foreign policy that lifts up the region, or leaves it alone to develop as it would (and try to obtain a WMD to use against us sounds like a great plan!), we'll always be saying, "Gosh, where did this come from?" as the dust settles.

We've not lost the balls to intervene, we've gained the ability to share awareness and raise consciousness in real time.

Haile Selassie went to the League of Nations in 1936 and delivered one of the most powerful speeches of the 20th century pleading for help against the fascist invader- who was using chemical weapons against non-combatants and commuting various atrocities against his people. He got nothing.

Today, we would watch the Italian military carry out their crimes on youtube and someone would start a petition on change.org.

(...and we'd still do nothing because it's Africa. Just like Sudan.)

As a Hungarian who has lost many relatives due to authoritarian style setups, I don't believe for one second whatever the Russkies are up to.

I don't believe that 70 to 80 years of communism can he buried and all is well with just 20 years of their culture living without communism.

I believe in Putinism and the main mantra is that I know for a fact that the commies stole billions of dollars and they waited in the ground and bidded for their time to come back.

They are doing the same in Hungary right now.

    They will be back.

I'll bet it was the Moslem boogeyman that crushed Freddie Gray's voicebox and snapped his neck.

According to info we have here it is a prank organized by some not-so-bright Ukrainian Soldiers. Russian propaganda machined just loved to take it, and stick it in news to Azov (nationalists unit).

However cutting off guys done by Russian separatist, because he had Ukrainian national emblem tattoo, and killing POWs was not a prank.
