Padded VCAS is my suggestion. Comfortable for carry, super quick and easy to adjust, and without any trailing straps.
Also since Brigand mentioned shooting slings, you can use the VCAS, VTAC, or any other 2-point tactical sling as a shooting sling quite easily if you mount it with the front attachment point forward of where your support hand grips the handguard in prone, adjusting the sling in tight and wrapping your wrist as you do with a "hasty" sling.
