So she probably heard the dropped gun discharge at nearly the same time home boy dropped and officer had his arms out stretched in a shooting position. I am sure it was not the exact timing but under the stress of what her mind was dealing with it probably all ran together. And her preconceived notion of police smoking fools for no reason also played into what her mind let her see. This is the problem when people discriminate against anyone for appearance.
