I used the Noveske stud on a Troy rail originally, then moved it over the the KMR rail. Worked fine of occasional use, but like the OP didn't really satisfy my impressions of solid long term or heavy use...in other words, no problems with bench use, but maybe not so much for real world use in the field. Could be wrong I guess, though. Anyway, I wound up getting an Atlas PSR with Larue Mount, which mounts on every rail I have other than the KMR, and am using a short 2" rail section on the KMR to mount to on the rare occasion I need it on that particular rifle.
Which, doesn't really help I guess, but I agree with the other poster who mentioned if only for occasional use, the Noveske/IWC should be fine, but for heavy/full time/extended use, go ahead and spring for the DD or any of the other 2 hole mounts. But, imo when you start talking about full time/heavyduty use, I would think carefully about KMR vs Traditional QR anyway.
