Sounds like you guys are doing it right out in Phoenix. Don't get arrested in Georgia.
If you aren't armed when you take a dump in your own home then your opinion on what is a practical daily carry weapon isn't interesting to me.

I have to strongly disagree with this. Outside political prosecutions in north or every once in awhile in Florida, real prosecutors, good prosecutors don't Take cases to trial without proof BRD.

I see juries let a lot of very very guilty people walk for the most bizarre reasons.

I have prosecuted a defended criminal cases for years and I can tell you, America doesn't incarcerate more of its citizens at a greater rate than any other country despite its criminal justice system (we have 4 percent of the world's population and 22 percent of its prisoners...land of the free indeed). The system is heavily weighted towards the state. Now my experience is with the south and mostly poor folks. If you are rich or can attract a heavy duty defense the game is different. That's how a Rush Limbaugh or Casey Anthony can walk, but ol' Uncle Leon will take a plea before the Judge really throws the book at him (what they call a "trial tax.")

When you work in LE the chances of being selected to sit on a jury is zero. I have spent a good amount of time testifying in trials, waiting to be summonsed to take the stand only to be told thanks for showing up during your family/sleep/etc. time but we don't need you after all cause the perp plead out.

Personally I would relish sitting on a high profile trial's jury.

I agree....zero. But around here, you can still be called for jury duty. That's the PITA part.

Every 5 years or so I find myself sitting in court for jury duty, to provide witness testimony, etc. Each time, I enter the hallowed halls excited to perform my civic duty and watch the hands of Justice at play. I sit in the audience with other witnesses, defendants, and family members who are all waiting for the cases to be called. After about 30 minutes of watching the human spectical around me, that warm feeling of pride in my belly turns to disgust. It truly is a caricature of life - people on trial for B&E, reckless driving 40 over in a school zone, battery on a family member (who is inevitably sitting near me wearing a Make'n Bacon t-shirt), etc. It's as if the People of Walmart had a class reunion in the courthouse.

Around here....if you are a white male between the ages of 30 and 50....you will not get picked to be on a jury. I go when I get the summons...but never come close to getting picked...ever.

Probably one of the only blessings left in being a white male around here! LOL

As the OP in this thread , I'm about to get arrested for aggravated assault on the next moron who tells me I should have returned a guilty verdict regardless of the evidence presented in this case.

What part of innocent until proven guilty is so hard to understand for some people!

Just venting live in a small town....
