that would be every time you pick up a loaded firearm with the intention of firing it? it should be. I'm not going to try to point out all the things that can go wrong with firing just one round with no eye protection but it's such a simple thing to do with no downside, as compared with not doing it which can have catastrophic permanent results that it makes less than no sense to do so. so, what's the point???

what "game" would that be? I've been riding for 35 years, currently have 6 motorcycles of various makes and purposes, even tried my hand at amateur roadracing and got pretty good at it for awhile. I still ride - a conservative estimate - over 25K/per year, year round in all temps and weather, and religiously practice ATTGAT (All The Gear All The Time), and the folks I ride with all seem to think I've "got game" when it comes to riding.

what's your "game" that is hindered by being smart? if your only criteria for wearing protective riding gear is how it makes you look, well, I stand by my first statement - stupid hurts. I'm guessing you ride, what... a harley?

and I don't get your reference to "lonely nights at the dunes"...

Let it go, ra2bach. RallyNoob is obviously immortal, and he doesn't need any protective gear for anything. In fact, I'm sure he's bulletproof.

And RallyNoob is right: it's about how you look, and nothing is more cool than a squid on a bike with no protective gear, or somebody wearing an eye patch forever because he didn't wear safety glasses while shooting, not to mention how chicks dig the scars from the skin grafts to fix bad road rash.

Let's just hope that RallyNoob also seen through all the hype and knows that he need NOT wear his seat belt while driving (or at least, only "when needed or required"). Oh, and condoms don't look cool, either, so don't use them.
