I mentioned much earlier in the thread that I had tried it and much to my dismay, was having the same issue. Long thread. Easy to miss that.

    Sample of one here, yes.

I'd rather not buy one to try. I'm in between buying a Novekse or BCM lower

With my Anderson lower there is right at .050" gap between the Gen3 stop and the bottom of the lower magwell.
Gen3's work fine unloaded or loaded if anyone is interested.

I filed a BCM lower and it worked fine. I did it just to do it. If I liked the lower and wanted to keep it nice, I'd just not use Gen M3 Pmags. Pmags get a revision every two years or so, so I wouldn't dick up an AR lower to fit a mag that was designed to fit non-AR guns. Use Gen M2 MOEs or g.i. mags that were designed to run in your gun.

I'd cough up the money and get a Colt lower if you want something that's RIGHT.

I had a Noveske Gen2 lower that was straight junk, and my BCM lower is not all that hot either, besides the Gen M3 Pmag issue.

I'm good on lowers right now, but I'll never buy anything but a Colt from here on out.

I've mentioned it prior, but there are reasons that many recommend KAC, Colt, LMT in that order for many reasons. That doesn't mean that a BCM lower is bad, it is a quality part. Other than what is mentioned as recommendations could have unintended issues and can have a reduced span of operation given the mix of other components going beyond the listed issues here.

My BCM lower has the hole for the trigger guard drilled too low, shipped from BCM with a non-functional FCG (would not reset), and I suspect that the mag catch slot was cut/broached a little low. The magazines just don't present rounds as high as my other lowers. I've tried using a Colt mag catch as well as the BCM mag catch.

It hasn't caused a malfunction during firing, but I have had a couple of instances where I insert a new mag with bolt locked back, release the bolt, and have NO round stripped from the mag. Magazine definitely locked in.

So what did BCM tell you when you notified them of the issue?

I didn't notify them. I wasn't too worried about the trigger since I was going to change it anyway. I didn't notice the mag catch and trigger guard issue until the lower had been used quite a bit and painted. I still like BCM, just bought another upper receiver group from 'em.
