There is nothing confidential or proprietary about the dimensions of an AR receiver.
I was about to respond and then I saw Grant's post - spot on and I agree 100%. I will add it is totally unreasonable to ask a manufacturer to warranty or replace a lower that is within specifications just in the hopes that a replacement lower might fit a non milspec magazine. Anybody on that train of thought doesn't understand what it is like to run a manufacturing firm in this day and age and needs an economic lesson.
I remember not too long ago when many brands were trashed on this and other sites for not allowing a PMAG to drop free. Much less FIT. The stances have changed more than Hillary on gay marriage.
Here are some photos with yellow tape to show where the tab interfaces. The bottom pic shows that with loaded mag inserted, the tab should not be contacting the lower or trigger guard. If I were the OP, I would look to see if the tab is contacting the trigger guard, or the lower. Sometimes the trigger guard sits higher than the lower, so it would be contacting the tab. File the affected area (trigger guard or lower) until a gap is present with a loaded and seated mag.
Wouldnt it be simpler to file the magazine?
