Don't bring a knife to a gun fight

This is the hot news in our area. These guys were planning to follow their version of the religion of peace and the trash was taken out:

(CNN)Usaamah Rahim, who was fatally shot after waving a military knife at law enforcement officers in Boston, was originally plotting to behead Pamela Geller, an activist and conservative blogger, law enforcement sources told CNN on Wednesday.

But Rahim, a 26-year-old security guard who officials believe was radicalized by ISIS and other extremists, decided instead to target the "boys in blue," a reference to police, according to court documents.

"I can't wait that long," he said of the original beheading plan, according to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court in Boston.

Geller drew national attention last month after an off-duty police officer working security thwarted an attack at her organization's contest for Prophet Mohammed drawings in Garland, Texas. She's president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, which includes subsidiary programs Stop Islamization of America and Stop Islamization of Nations.

"They targeted me for violating Sharia blasphemy laws. They mean to kill everyone who doesn't do their bidding and abide by their law voluntarily," Geller told CNN's Erin Burnett after learning of the alleged plot.

I heard about this, apparently to avoid a "Ferguson like moment" the Chief decided to set down with the locals and show the video of just what happened before, during and after the shooting.
That's what I call getting ahead of the spin and putting it out there. More attitude and actions like this should curb some of the enthusiasm for some home grown jihad and community organizers from stirring the pot to get a nice riot going.

That smelly bearded bullet magnet bought the Ontario "USMC" Kabar style knife. While good for cutting soft tissues and stabbing, I think it's a poor choice for sawing bones. I'm no knife fighting expert but I've cut a few things (meat, chicken bones, vegetable, etc.) with big knife, little knife, smooth knife, serrated knife. Just to show that the idiot didn't have a clue, isis or no isis. I'm glad the lawmen used him as a bullet backstop.

And while the video proved he was not "shot in the back while talking to his father on the phone" as many community advocates had claimed, they still decided the video was "inconclusive" regarding who is to blame for instigating the situation and many are still going with the "was only defending himself from police attackers" scenario.

You really can't win with some people.

And thankfully the FBI was actually on to this guy and they watched him make the purchases on Amazon. The Ontario Spec is a decent fighting knife, but if I was interested in cutting heads off a heavy duty machete would be more useful. Thankfully these guys seem more retarded than anything and brag about their intentions on the internet.
