Meh. I thought it was kind of silly. It was boring and easy and it was basically a QTE bookended by long loading screens and cut scenes.

The road chase in the city was cool. Didn't expect that from a shooting game.

In 2009 former SAS Trooper Chris Ryan had a TV show called Shadow Soldiers, he did an episode with GROM/BOA. Yeah, they are card carrying members of the pipe hitter's union.

Most CoD games seem to work one in. As do most MoH games.

I didn't particularly enjoy it as the car physics were not very good and the car controls were horrible (but I'm used to Forza) and I don't see how some juiced up Grand Cherokees can keep up with (let alone pass or get so far ahead as to be able to actually t-bone) a hot Audi station wagon with the throttle wide open.

I think that best info about what GROM is can come from those who worked with our guys in WoT. I'm sure there are some people with 1st hand experience with working with GROM or JWK (former 1.PSK) here.

AFAIK GROM was featured in mentioned game because of endorsement from some SEALs involved in game development. GROM did not allow any active duty soldiers to participate in project, but number of "just retired" soldiers were working on it, using gear provided by unit.

Generally Polish Special Forces units continue legacy of WW2 elite resistance units and No 10 Commando No 6 Troop and "Dark and Silent" Paratroopers ("Cichociemni").

Video from first post is mix of materials from actual training and enacted videos popular in net.

I loved the campaign, I just hated the multiplayer. It still has the best weapon customization of any shooter I have played especially for us gun nuts. I hope they roll that same level of attention to detail in Battlefield 5 down the road. Good stuff.
