    Thumbs up The Martian . . .

From Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, etc.)

Amazing cast to include my number one Hollywood squeeze Jessica Chastain. I'm all over this!

I'm actually listening to the audio book right now, I highly recommend it.

One thing that runs through my mind when listening to it though... NASA spends probably half a billion dollars, if not more, to save the life of this one guy.

Imagine how many lives that money could save in other uses?

Ensemble cast... The kiss of death. Plus I don't do Matt Damon four two hours straight, even if he is about to be killed at any moment.

The book is fantastic. Imminently approachable for those who aren't into technical or sci fi type books. Think of it as Robinson Crusoe on Mars, without slaves, and lots of potatoes. I hope they don't write the Earthside people in more than they were. The only, and I mean only thing that's preventing me from wanting to see this is the aforementioned Matt Damon. Aside from his idiocy spilling into everything he does, from his reading in the trailer I don't picture him as embodying the character. Nothing a pint of whiskey can't fix I suppose.

Trailer looks good, a friend read the book said it is a pretty good story.

I got enough of Damon in space in Interstellar, I think I'll wait for the bluray download....

Yeah... Damon needs to be twice as vulgar and twice as immature to portray that character, in my opinion.

He's always so serious in his roles.

I saw the trailer last night and was planning on specifically sending you a PM about this movie Moose. I know Matt Damon has political views I disagree with and I having been voting with my dollars as of late but I just might have to go see this one anyways.
