P3 is no longer around. He moved to his place full time in WV last fall.

No! Sad to hear it. He was cheap and convenient.

As an alternative, 50 West Armory in Chantilly does $35 general public/$25 LE/MIL transfers I believe. I forgot to mention it in my first post, but definitely also check it F3 Tactical. I try to buy all my duty gear there, and it's worth it to me to have such an awesome local tactical gear shop.

If you are a member at Blue Ridge FFL transfers are $25.

I'll also recommend Virginia Arms. The guys that work there are great. It's probably the best gun store I've ever been to.

Robb (the armorer at Virginia Arms) is one of the few people I am comfortable with working on my guns.

I'm late to this thread, but I would concur with the recommendations of VA Arms in Manassas. The owner/manager, who I believe is named Bernie, was great. I bought multiple guns from there and things always went smooth from the transaction point of view. In addition, when I ran into reliability issues with one of the guns I bought from them, they went WAY out of their way to take care of it, even though it was not their fault.
