Here is a link to what I was saying about China, also it relates that prices began going up after 911.

I look for them to really skyrocket! Trying to buy as much now as I can afford. I figure you can always get your money back.....

I take a contrarian point of view on the matter. That is, when "everyone" says ammo is going to keep going up, and you have dealers saying it's going up another 35% this fall, well that's when prices will fall.

    Just my $.02

I’m sure that prices will up this September but not 35%.
Honestly, I have no idea how or where he got that figure. However, I know it will be going up, and probably by a lot, so I bought 3,000 rounds of .223 a bit ago. I figure it's not gonna get any cheaper, so might as well stock up.

Much like gas, regardless of the supply, once a price-point has been established by the consumer the prices will take a looong time to drop.

Best case scenario- prices increase with inflation.

At least that's what my crystal ball is tellin' me.

This whole thing SUCKS! Price comparison: A year ago I paid around $135.00 for a case of Wolf. Now it's $235.00. How can they justify steel ammo that's produced in Russia, going up that much other than a fleece? Barnual ammo was even cheaper then, but it's on par with Wolf now. Thank God I bought up a crap load last year.

I think FEAR might be driving up the price of ammo as much as anything else. The more we stockpile fearing an increase in price the more we collectively drive up prices.

That said, I still need to buy a few more thousand rounds of relatively inexpensive .22lr for my Spike's Tactical 22 upper.

I'm already FEARing I won't be able to afford to heat my house this winter. Time to stock up on some propane before the prices go up.
