New member with new old Colt

I picked up a Sporter Lightweight today. It's my first old Colt. Here is some pictures with my Colt M4

Hard for me to reconcile the words "SPORTER" with "OLD COLT", I'm getting old.

Thanks. Aren't these from the 90s? I was in the military then. Always wanted one. Seen this one cheep so bought it. I hear people don't like these but also read and been told they are some of the most accurate and reliable Colts made. It's a lot lighter than my Socom M4. I'll have to try it out.

These are from the early 1990s (circa '90-'94). To me, any pre-ban Colt is well worth owning. I have four pre-ban Colts myself.

I know what you mean. I am not too crazy about sear blocks either, but sometimes if you want that certain model, it is just something you have to accept.

Lol that's good I'll take em with the sear block. Keeps them cheap but will shoot as well as one without. Friend told me the best shooting Colt AR were made during the ban. Said the shoot better without the flashider and you can get them cheap because no one wants them.
