Some pictures from Yorktown this weekend

The girlfriend and I went to a B&B this weekend, while the owner of the B&B was a bit ahem "different" we had a great time. We've been to Williamsburg several times, but never went down to Yorktown. It is a very nice small town, with lots of history. General Thomas Nelson, who commanded the Virginia Militia during the revolutionary war and a signed of the Declaration of Independece is buried there. Some nice shops and GREAT restaraunts. Here are some pictures.

    The B&B

A oil refinery on fire(I bet gas jumps up .10 cents a gallon )

Me at Cornwallis cave, he hid here from our constant bombardment at the siege of Yorktown

    The Scooner Alliance

A monument dedicated to the American Revolution

The bridge crossing the York river on RT 17 North. It opens side ways. There are only two other bridges in the world like it. One at the Suez canal I think, and one in SE Asia.

Me before going out to dinner

    Jessica before the same

Jessica playing around with the statues

    Me acting stupid

You picked a good time to go to Yorktown.

In 2 weeks the 225th aniv of the seige/surrender is happening and they are talking about 3000 reenactors being there.

Wont be a Hotel room available for miles..............
Life is too short to deal with Blonde women, or carbine barrels over 10.5 inches

Looks like a good time. One day I need to take the family up there. Thx for the pics.
Sad, that it takes someone else to tell you your life is worth protecting and that you are the one ultimately responsible for it.
