That I totally agree with. Splitting hairs on a couple db's is pointless when POI shift, back pressure, sight signature reduction, durability etc. is much more important (for my rifle needs). Db's become more important to me when it comes to subsonic rounds (pistol suppressors, dedicated 300blk build etc.)

OP, it looks like the Omega would serve you nicely then.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm torn between the Omega and the YHM3300.

    Thanks,

I've put 500ish rounds of various flavors through my Omega, not as many as my 556 Specwar, but I've been pleased so far. As with everything time will tell.

So far so good. It fits my needs as a lightweight can for moderate fire. It does get hot so if I'm doing higher rate of fire in long session (class/comp) I use Specwar, but I was aware of Ti limitations beforehand. Have only used on 556 SBRs, but have 308 bolt gun in works and possible 300BLK down road (still undecided). I wanted lightweight suppressor to use on 308 bolt action that could pull double duty on 556, plus I already had ASR mounts for Specwar. I am far from a Suppressor Guru but as a average Joe grease monkey, I'm happy. Plus as a machinist I'm happy with quality of products fit/finish/geometrys.

Picked my Omega up last Thursday, ran 350 or so rounds through it Saturday. I'm very impressed with it. AWESOME. Mostly subs through 9" AAC 300 BO, but the supers were pretty quiet as well with no hearpro.

POI shift through the 9" was very minimal to non existent.

Can't wait to try some handload subs through the RARR BO. Super quiet.

It does get hot quick, but I assume that's par for the course. On a mag dump or two I did get a little "gas face", but not as bad as had expected. A little breeze would have all but eliminated it. Hot and still, no wind.

My buddy got his Saker a month or so ago, and after shootin my Omega, said he wishes he would have gone with the Omega.

I've only shot through a few cans before, so I really don't have a lot to compare to, but I'm very pleased with the performance.

Next Saturday I'm gonna switch to the 5.56 endcap and try her out on my 11.5" barreled SIG AR.

An Omega was my first can. I don't have the extensive experience that a lot of you folks have, but I'm very happy with my choice. Zero buyers remorse.

The problem is that I don't see what makes the omega a better choice than any other can.
