That seems like a good theory. Makes sense it's titanium then, it's a non stress part.

Found this cutaway of the omega's baffle stack today.

I don't have it in front of me, but I was thinking that the endcaps and anchor brake screwed into the outer tube (titanium). The mounts screw into the core tube (stainless steel). The inner core tube being stainless, because the baffles (stainless steel) are welded to it. I haven't experienced any sparks coming out of the Omega. I have only put a few hundred rounds through it on a 16" upper, so I really cannot speak of performance yet.

It's looking like the only point of the titanium tube might be to reinforce the core?/ make is easier to replace the whole baffle stack.

As well as, weight reduction from completing the profile of the suppressor, which also adds aesthetics. I think that the more people try to discredit this suppressor, the better it ends up looking.

I'm due to get mine in the next few weeks (check cashed June 16th). I'm pretty excited.

Gonna slap it on my BCM 11.5 lightweight with the ASR brake.

    Took the Omega out today.

Can is great. Was able to shoot comfortably without earpro. Pretty quiet on my 11.5 5.56. Didn't notice the extra weight up front much at all. I'm using the flat 5.56 endcap, ASR brake and a lightweight BCM barrel. POI shifted to the right with the new muzzle device and can. 2 clicks on my ACOG fixed that.
Can got hot quick, but it cools down really fast. No unusual wear to the finish (slightly browned in the center) and the tube didn't separate like some users have reported.

I used RTV on my charging handle so that could be why I noticed almost 0 gas to the face.

I doubled up on ear pro to try out the ASR brake without a can. It wasn't bad behind the gun, but the observer to the side said it was on par with a .300 win mag for concussion.

I'll try and get in a night shoot soon to test out the flash.

Ammo was all wolf gold and wolf poly.

Now I'm lusting after an Octane .45 for my Beretta....

Overall: EXTREMELY pleased with the can so far.

    Nice report.

If you are planning on buying a cover... take a look at the Rifles Only FTW HAD suppressor cover. It's rated for over 3,000 degrees and will prevent burns, and cut down mirage on spewed rifles.

I took my Omega to the indoor range a couple weeks ago for the first time on my 8.5" 300blk. This was also the first time I shot the 300. The setup is a dream. I was shooting it directly attached. I didn't experience any backing off whatsoever. I didn't notice the extra weight, and shooting the sub rounds was lovely. I didn't notice any change in POI between subs and supers, but I was only shooting at 25 yds and in. Ammo used was Barnes 110 gr, PNW 147 gr, and sig 220 gr subs with no malfunctions and bolt lock back on supers and subs. I also didn't notice excessive gas.

I was looking at putting one on a SCAR17 with an OEM 13" barrel. Turns out that's shorter than the Omega's minimum spec. I don't think a 13" barel on a SCAR17 is anywhere near "crazy", though.
