I am hoping once these hit the market en-masse that the price is a bit lower. I was really looking forward to one of these as my first Beretta purchase.

There's a Trident-level dealer in UT who can beat Botach's price but given MAP, can't list the price. I'm guessing $899.

Given street price on an M9A1 is $699, $899 isn't too bad considering what extra content you get. Wilson Combat charges $160 to convert an FS to G action, just as a sanity check. Obv easier to do it as an OEM.

I could maybe deal with $900 if that was the out the door, gun in my hand, price.

I've actually been looking at a CZ (SP-01 Tactical) that is all steel, decock only, with night sights and a rail, for under $700 out the door. That's looking like maybe the route I will go for my next pistol purchase.

I think the guy in UT's price will be close to that. If you want to work the trigger, the normal SP-01 is supposedly better than the Tactical model due to the decocker linkage. I usually go decocker if I can (all my Beretta 92's are G-action save one I want to get converted).

I had heard that. I'm willing to sacrifice some trigger feel for not having a safety.

This makes it more feasible. Thanks for the info.

I actually just got a note back; even lower than I expected and it was a shipped price too! If anybody is interested, PM me for the POC and I'll give you his email.

Based on the ECP (not the civilian MSRP), it is 10% lower than current M9 costs to the Gov and it adds 85% of what's required under the MHS procurement. Hard to argue w/ that value but I guess SIG will get the next contract given the bundling of handgun, suppressor and ammunition requirements within the solicitation.

    LOL
As PGT pointed out, Mil doesn't pay anything close to MSRP during procurement. Remember Beretta is going to knock the bottom out of their margin to get the guns in the field.
