At what point do you trust a new part?

I have two benchmarks. 300 rounds without a failure is my first. Then I look for 1,000 rds without a failure. If I get that, the part MUST be good to go.

I would not constrain my thoughts to a low limited number like that, the reality is that others push much further in the real world. A broader perspective in reality is higher than that by a large margin than what was proposed by the previous post for most users.
