OK, Those added up, are some pretty big differences, and deffinetley would determine which model I would buy. I'm torn though between this and the
MP15 which is in stock locally.....
I have to go over the "chart" again and do a little more homework, though I am down to these two weapons. The gun will backup my LMT but may wind up being shot more that the LMT. I really like putting rounds down range and need to get some class time behind me. I have done some range work with my own drills. Even with my military and LE background I try to stay sharp and the LMT has run flawlessly for me so far. I only use factory ammo. I wish we had a local range with steel plates, etc. After I purchase my next rifle I am going to try and do some classes but will have to travel I know for some distance. Oh well, it will be worth it.

    Thanks again guys!

In a very tightly broken down nutshell, I'd put the CD vs. M&P argument down to this:
CD has the better barrel, S&W has the better BCG.

Now, keeping in mind that one should buy a spare BCG for each gun anyway, and keeping in mind that swapping out the BCG is infinitely easier than swapping out the barrel.....

For me it is also a matter of availability, I have not seen any CD's but like I said the MP15's they have local. I would have to pay the transfer fees unless I can talk the local gunshop to order a CD for me....

Rob, is that an M16 bolt carrier???

This is one of the issues we face as we get more dealers on board our program. We have only been shipping since the middle of April. S&W definitely has a much broader distribution network.

I would have your dealer give us a call. We can sell him directly under our new Key and Master Dealer programs, or he can buy from one of our wholesalers. Either way, the D-M4LE's are available now and can be at your local FFL in a day or two. Perhaps we could even ship with a 2nd Day Air service. It would cost us a bit more, but I would hate to lose the sale because of the lack of local availability.

Perhaps we could fix that. Give me a call at the office: 540-8518. Even though we are closed to the public, I could be motivated to open the door for a fellow MC4 member who lives in my back yard.

PM me your real name so I know who is going to be calling me.

I just checked through your website and there is a dealer not to far from here. I will call tomorrow and see if he has the LE model, if he does I will run over there and check it out.

    Much thanks,

    Sincerely,
Michael, Thank you for the possible invite, perhaps in the future I can take you up on it. Right now I wouldn't want to waste your time as it will be some time till I'm in the market for another AR-15. (New House/New Baby) I will definitely keep you in mind when the time comes as I am a Firm believer in spending locally, and from what I hear on these boards, you seem to be putting out a top notch product! ---Thanks! Rob, is this still true? I heard that S&W stopped using the LMT BCG's recently.

Yep, it's a little over the top on a couple of the pics. Not going to go back and change it though.
