DD vs Troy Fixed Rear Sight

I know there is a thread covering same plane aperture differences from 2012. But my concern is the shape. The DD seams to me to be more streamlined, less chance of a snag. As where the Troy offering seems the shape would be prone to snagging. Does anyone have any experience other this? Am overthinking this? Is it really an issue to be concerned about?

What do you think can snag on the Troy?
I haven't lived with a gun strapped to me ever, but I have spent some hours with my Troy equipped rifle hanging on. No snags.
No experience with the DD, Troy fixed set when on a sale I couldn't pass up.

DD the Troy is just too ugly.

Okay, I found an used DD. The Troy just seems like standing straight up would grab onto any loose webbing, clothes, etc. The DD looks more streamlined.

    Thanks for the replies mates.

It is not an issue to be concerned about.

I prefer the DD front sight. I think it provides a slightly better sight picture.

I have both. The troy works well when using 1/3 cowitness red dots, as the troy apertures 'lay' flat so they really do not obstruct the red dot at all. I would use the DD on a iron sights only build due to them just looking better. My opinion from just a novice.

We have a set of fixed iron sights in production. They will be epic.
