Just one man's opinion based on a S**TTON of first hand experience but America would be a different country for the much better if there were no illegal drugs or alcohol allowed
    Period.
I know that's simply not possible but I have never done a single illegal drug in my life including weed but no one can possibly argue the good ANY illegal drug or alcohol does outweighs the evil of same.
Alcohol alone kills close to more Americans every year than our combat losses in the Korean war.
I'm sure CBD could be regulated and controlled if they wished it, same with prescription narcotics

Only part of your post I agree with. So, working from reality vs unicorn chit and wishful thinking seems the path forward in my view.

Why would you regulate CBD? I used sublingual drops for my back. 0 THC, and absolutely no "high".

All efforts to control any substance have only proven that it only makes the problem worse. There was never a time in our history when alcoholism was more prevalent than during prohibition. If you ask me, prohibition was a dry run (no pun intended) for the war on drugs and all of the extraconstitutional powers and militarization of the police that came from it.

Yes, As you said cannabis has a lot of benefits, it is one of the best medicine from our nature. It can be treated for different types of diseases and pain relief such as chronic pain, Improves lung capacity can even help to cure Fight cancer etc. Some countries have legalized the use of marijuana and in nearby years it will be legalized as a natural medicine all over the world

With the legalization of marijuana happening every where it seems, I wonder what the long term effects will be on people who smoke recreationally. By products like CBD may have an effect on a person's health problems and may have some medical benefits. But I personally don't believe the hype that marijuana doesn't have any negative long term effects on a person. I found this article enlightening:

I don't think it'll have as bad of long term effects as other legal drugs.

I have a family member who takes some seriously strong and dangerous anti anxiety meds and those are slowly having less and less effect. This stuff effects major organs like the heart and liver as well as tiredness, weakness, mental clarity joint pain, nausea ... And once you start it's not advisable to stop taking due to severe and potentially deadly withdrawal symptoms.

So, while it may not get you high you will forever be on a dozen different meds, which have their own sometimes dangerous side effects, to counter the anxiety med side effects and forever be going through a rotating door of hospitals and specialists.

The few people I know who are recreational smokers have been for decades and have no signs or symptoms of any side effects or a desire to use other drugs. It's their version of a glass of scotch in the evening after dinner!

I'm not saying pot is completely harmless. Don't think anything is but the legal options are not any better.

Also, these studies he's talking about.... I've read studies as recently as maybe 20 years ago that still said smoking cigarettes was healthy! Studies sometimes are set up to fail by people with an agenda, just take a look at the HCQ study from last year. hydroxychloroquine doesn't work (because it was tested very sick and old people who were already dying. Like claiming chemo doesn't work after testing on the terminally ill)l

Abuse causes brain damage and damage to the central nervous system. Luckily it looks like the damage is mostly reversible.

We truly do not know the long term side effects of all of this, and we won't know for a few generations. The product now is much more potent than what most of the hippies were smoking during the sexual revolution.

If we are quoting religious scholars on this stuff, we could view weed as God's gift to man, afterall.
