The MAXIM is intriguing as hell; I'm already finding myself trying to open a spot in the HH budget for it...

If SiCo is doing their own thing with the entire pistol design, I hope they get good feedback from good shooters on the trigger, sights, mag release, slide stop, etc. I would not cry if they made the internals cross-compatible with Glock or M&P parts.

It looks like SilencerCo is working hard, and putting profits to good use. I fully expect them to pay attention to the details on the MAXIM, and if it all works out, it should be quite lucrative.

I caught SilencerCo's huge accessory sale last year, and got a 556 Saker ASR mount for a great price. I will probably keep the one Trifecta FH that I have mounted, where it is, but I prefer the ASR. Almost every 5.56 rifle I have can run one of 4 different suppressors.

I'm honestly most intrigued by the laser range finder and how it will adjust to your scope's reticle. I'm really interested to see how accurate it is at going from 100 to 735 to 956 to 435 yards etc.

It could be an amazing addition to any DMR style rifle. I would love to test one out on my LMT LM8MWS on an unknown distance range.

Yeah the rangefinder is the most interesting for me as well.

I wonder how much it weighs?

I'm not sure if they're ready to admit it or not, but MAAD is dead. ASR won.

I'll reserve judgement until more is known.

If they are porting gas just in front of the chamber a la MP5SD and dropping velocity to paintball levels, they can keep that shizz.

I'm pretty surprised they didn't reach for the easy WIN with a convertible Octane. They are losing crazy sales to Griffin right now for similar price/ performance but less versatility.

Get ready to see EVERYTHING come out convertible in the future.

    Mostly.

I would caution them not to follow the path of AAC into silly marketing nonsense and focus on being a professional manufacturer of premium products.

Ok, I've read up on this concept. Basically the rangefinder is only accurate at your zero'd distance. (I.e. zero your scope and rangefinder turrets to 0 at 100 yards... the rangefinder will only be accurate at this zero. As soon as you touch the turrets you are moving the reticle away from the laser. You wouldn't be able to dial your elevation, but would easily be able to use holdovers.

If this accurately reads past 1,000 I'll definitely be buying one. A user could either use this on a rifle, or I imagine it could be zero'd to a spotter with a reticle in it.

    .
Not everyone wants a titanium/stainless can with stellite blast baffle. With multiple countries adopting 300blk a shorter Saker K 762 would be a real attractive suppressor IMHO.

I'd buy one. . If they would have just made the Omega or this new MAAD suppressor compatible with the Trifecta mounts it would please me greatly. Unfortunately for me I have too much invested in the Trifecta system (brakes, pinned barrels etc.) to bring another mounting system into my stable. When SiCo releases their blast shield it will be the final nail in the coffin if they don't support the Trifecta system anymore.

I'll just buy another Surefire or TBAC can at that point. I have plenty of those mounts as well.

I wonder if a skilled machinist could make an adapter ring that would convert the outside diameter of the Omega/Harvester/Big Bore to the smaller diameter Trifecta system. It would look sinfully ugly, but would save me hundreds.

Of course one could spend another $275 and get a MAAD mount for the ASR.

Don't forget all the additional brakes/flash hiders.
