I could take the truck, but this is more fun to drive and gets better mileage.

I prefer them. I had to go to Ohio just to get it. I could not find one in my state that was 4x4, moderate miles, in my price range, and within that model generation. Most were 2WD, too expensive/new, or not a regular cab short bed.

The 4.6 2V. I wish I could have found a 5.0 but this will do. The 4.6's are tanks.

Same here. Had to go to North Carolina to find one. King/Crew/Super Cabs just don't turn me on like a straight-the-****-up truck.

I totally agree with you guys. But, I suppose my outlook on a lot of things have changed in the last eight years when my first was born. I used to laugh at 4 door trucks and Crocks, feeling sorry for the poor sap in either one. Now I know that they are absolutely hideous, but are awesome for their given purpose. That and I've found that I just don't give a rats ass about anyone's opinion anymore. I suppose both of these are my bug out vehicles.

While I would prefer a regular cab long bed myself and my dog in the past, (or even a CJ5) if you want to haul more people, (wife, kids) a crew cab becomes a Godsend.

    Nice truck.

I like four door trucks. I just like the look of a rcsb more, and the shorter wheelbase for off-roading. This is my third F-150. I had a 2008 Lariat 2WD when I was still married as a family vehicle. I also had a 1998 that looked like the older brother of my 2010. I miss that truck but I hit black ice back in Feb and flipped it. Bad, bad, day.

I have a son and a dog myself. I have plenty of room for them both.

Crocs are a no go for me though, haha.

I'm with you fellas. Sometimes a compromise has to be made for the utility of it. I'd love another Fox Body Mustang, but the only thing it was good for was getting tickets and wasting treads.

I'm with Matt. Our family loves the crew cab for trips. But, my wife only lets me wear the crocs to work in the yard or to the beach to fish.
