Sound advice...thats what I would do as well.
Might call the company it was purchased from as well and inquire about what he was sold.At least it might start a fire on that end.
I know when I ordered the LMT upper this morning from Grant,I had to specify what BCG I wanted since it does not come with one.
So maybe when the upper was ordered the reseller installed whatever BCG was available.

I guess this would be a good question for the experts.
Does LMT parts have any distinctive markings/proofs that would help identify the BCG as an actual LMT assembly?

FWIW, the bolt has "AB" marked on one side and "MP" marked on the other.

I will remove the extractor and get another pic sometime tomorrow.

FYI, I've already started contact with both LMT and my source for the parts.

I'll post an update as soon as I can.

Yeah the area of the bolt around the extractor looks grooved and rough to me.Certainly does not look square or smooth.
    Another pic please.

Well I addressed that very question to their chief Engineer and it was not easy getting him to talk to me. Because they did not know who I was and were not happy answering technical questions.

I did get to talk to him and asked just how I could be sure I had a LM&T bolt&carrier as I found no markings except the MP on the bolt. He informed me they did not mark their B&Cs because their customers requested no markings. I asked just how if someone sent a B&C to them how could they know if it was really theirs. He said from the machining. I had to do some thinking about that answer. But that what he told me. He did say they meaning Mr. Lewis and him had discussed this issue before and he would bring it up again to Mr. Lewis.

Now someone has pointed out to me that there is a small "A" on the side of the LM&T bolts but he did not know if it really was any real ID for the LM&T B&C.

Anyway the subject has come up before and it will come up again.

Yeah I would think LMT would want to mark the components.Sure leaves the door open for some bootleg parts being pawned off.
As someone mentioned above, the LMT BCG's seem to have a rather heavy park which makes them look rough. So maybe that would help.
There are some nice pictures of the LMT BCG over on Weapon Evolution in a comparison thread.

I should have my LMT BCG from G&R in a couple days.I will see if I can compare mine to what you have as far as markings etc..Maybe that will help.

I am going to have to request that you stop posting sexy pictures of BCGs. Its just not natural for them to look that good.

Let me know what you guys think...
My LMT bolt is on the left, BCM on the right

Both have fewer than 11 rounds through them not including the factory testing.

blah - you'd better not post an artfully composed, evenly lighted shot of your bolts suitable for printing out and framing then.
