Agreed. I simply do not know. I verified that they had my address to send my bolt back and was told they did. Nothing more was discussed. I am ASSUMING that I'll get my bolt back, but they may send a new one. I just don't know, but I will give an update when I get it.
This is a finish issue, which like I said before, is only of minor concern to me. I don't baby my guns and scratches don't scare me. I'm cool with it as long as it is only cosmetic, and it appears to be just that. I would like to have not had this come up, but it did and LMT has verified that all is well. I hold no ill will toward LMT and in no way do I want this to turn into some sort of LMT bashing thread.

Oh Im not trying to bash LMT either...far from it.I have gone way out of my way to buy LMT products when every other brand in the world is available locally including Sabre Defense which is only 35 miles from the house..And Ive bought a couple grand worth of LMT stuff this month.
But like I said,if this next BCG is as roughly machined and finished as the one I received a few days ago,I'd prefer to have a BCM next time.
Has nothing to do with Neeglik's situation, just personal preference.
Couple things. Neeglik, your BCG was an LMT for sure (I see the "tell" on the carrier). The nick in the bolt is most likely a non issue IMHO. I have seen Colt parts that looked like they kicked them into the box before shipping. People have to remember that companies that focus their attention on .Mil contracts pay a lot less attention to fit and finish than other companies do.
I know that everyone works hard for their money and wants a quality product. Manufacturers also work hard for their money, but don't always put out the best product the could (as no one is perfect). So I wouldn't throw LMT under the bus for a non-perfect BCG.

I agree ,but if the customer is not happy than he won't be back . they should just give him a new one that looks better and make him happy ,they will have a customer for life . = more sales=more money .![]()

Agree, but sometimes the customer is too demanding for no reason and the manufacturer or dealer should not give in to their rants (I am not saying that is the case here).
I recently had a customer that got an Aimpoint at dealer cost from us. I caught him bitching on TOS about us becuase we did not answer our phone when he tried to call us.

If you got a perfect LMT bolt in the past ,you would expect the next one you bought to be as good . if the OP had or had seen a perfect LMT bolt he would have the expitation of recieveng that quality . even if the customer was real picky it is good customer relations to swap it out for a perfect one .the cost would be offset by positive word of mouth . if they used to finish the bolts better and now don't ,who's fault is that ? and yes that bolt will probably function fine, but the OP will always doubt the quality of the bolt and the next time he wants to buy some thing he will remember who sold it to him and how they handeled his bitch. if it is good enough for the customer than it is good enough for them ,they can use it in one of thier AR's ,sounds fair to me .
