    Pistol usage defined

Ok "if" I had a 10.5" pistol with a smooth buffer tube, (no Sig brace or stock attaches to it). Can I , if I had a pistol that is, fire it with said tube resting on my shoulder?
I know the Sig brace thing has gone on ad nausea but haven't seen anything about running a naked tube.

    my thanks in advance

Have you written a letter to the ATF to ask?

No one places the buffer tube against their shoulder. Ever.... People only use pistols in pistol like ways....

You know, for the close range a pistol is mostly going to be used at, just put the tube on the side of your cheek, wherever it fits best. Not the end of the tube, the side. Adds some stability, plenty for across the yard, street. I find a tube too short, it puts the charging handle hard against the nose, and is sights are used, the rear is just too close unless moved forward.
A foam cover makes it better.

I posted this earlier today to this thread but it has disappeared.......hmmm, let's try again:

We all know what is technically legal and what isn't. Don't be a buffon and post pics to Facebook or videos to YouTube of yourself engaged in acts of said buffoonery and you'll be fine. Use discretion.

I think we all need to let this go and stop taking about it online. Don't be stupid and act a fool in the presence of ATF agents and you'll be fine. For the love of all that's holy, do NOT send another freakin letter!
