Due to the overwhelming interest in this bullet and load chase, I ordered some more of these bullets to keep after this deal!

Pappabear found another pound of TAC too... so that'll keep the primers popping!

Blended the 2 plus lbs of TAC on hand and going back to 22.5 gr.

Got the velocity back to 2632 FPS with no popped primers and a few head swipes with 22.6 grains. SD was 24

Almost shot sub MOA until the last shot on the low right. Backed off the load to 22.3 and made 100 rounds to shoot next weekend.

Dude, that's still pretty tasty marksmanship and a nice group.

Good luck with the next range trip, I'm very interested in the results from the next batch.

I'd love to get some RL-15 and use a milder primer to tighten up the SDs and possibly the group size. But even at only MOAish accuracy, I still plan to have fun shooting these fat bullets.

I hope the wind is forgiving next weekend, and we might be able to assess them at 1000 yards.

From last weekend.... What does that flyer want???

I'd kill for some Win SR primers to see if these psycho ass CCIs are trick fukking me.

Ok. Due to the continued, unrelenting interest in this thread... I got some CCI 400s to try. I'm going to leave the current load that popped only one CCI 41 last weekend, and see if the pressure spikes drop, and the flyers stop flying.

I might load 5 CCI 41s just to do a head to head on velocity difference between the two primers.

Same data posted in the primer comparison thread:

    The CCI 400s:

    2617 FPS

    38 ES

    38 SD.

Still getting some popper or pushed out primers on once fired brass. When I hand prime, the pocket tension is enough that the primers should be staying in. So there's real pressure issues here.

I'm going to try WOLF SRMs for one last stripper clip of ammo at the same powder charge. (I can't remember if WOLF ignites TAC reliably.)

Finally might be onto a good load with these damned bullets.

22.3 TAC with Fed AR Match primer. 4 shot group (would have had 5 shots, but I shot the first round with the scope dialed for distance)

That looks great. I might need to duplicate this. What rifle are you using?
