I tried hitting the ring and the muzzle with a rubber mallet, both soft and hard but no dice. I'm trying the Fireclean soak, if that doesn't work I guess I'll try the blow torch method, worse case scenario I'll still have a freakin' blow torch!

I haven't contacted Surefire yet, I'll do that today and see what they say.
Before you torch it, prior to hitting it with a rubber mallet, did you remove the socket cap screw that retains the locking lever in place?

If that didn't help, again assuming the socket cap screw and locking lever was removed, have you tried using a strap wrench around the locking collar to break the carbon off. Now that the collar is free to rotate, you leverage a wood block or something between the rail and back of the collar to push it off.

(Note: With the lock lever removed, only put the strap wrench on the locking collar only - NOT ON THE SUPPRESSOR BODY - the extrusion/tab on the BDC of the muzzle device that interfaces with the cutout on the suppressor prevents the main body from rotating around the bore axis.)

The idea for leveraging a breaker bar came from Kudu22 actually:

If I have more barrel I use the edge of a 2x4 or something at the range on the back edge of the lock ring. Just like you do opening a beer bottle useing the edge of a table. Do not for any reason bang on the tube with a hammer thinking you can "tap" the carbon loose. You will end up with a tube that looks like a golf ball. Do not take a plumbers wrench to the tube and think you can twist it off. That index pin won't let you twist it so you will end up having a dented tube and have these really apparent teeth marks as the wrench slips around the tube.

I own (4) of the Surefire suppressor and I run into this all the time. I really do not think the brand of suppressor matters much. It's the carbon build up in the adapter area that prevents the locking ring from moving or even allowing the suppressor to come off the barrel/adapter. I seen the friend of mines M4-2000 suppressor lock up also, he used a strap wrench to remove his suppressor with. I did a couple of classes with my full size Legacy model suppressor without removing it. I had about 2500 rounds through it. And I end up having to shoot the suppressor off the rifle. But I have found since then, that if I spray down the suppressor with Ballistol and let it sit for a day or two, that it loosens up the carbon enough that I can get it too unlock and come off the adapter. Any more I just leave one suppressor on my SPR rifle and one on my SBR rifle. Also I really like the carbon fiber welding mat for holding onto hot suppressors with. I even use it to wrap the suppressor with before I put into my rifle case to keep it from melting the case. You can get the carbon fiber weld mat through Amazon for about 25.00 dollars and it works better than a welding glove/leather gloves. It's also good up to about 1800 degrees before you have issues with holding on to it.

It should be easy, just walk in to your local mall jewelry store with your rifle. Oh, wait....

Did you try a rubber strap wrench? I have used this many times to loosen the locking ring.

So no luck with Fireclean, trying Carbon Cutter right now and if that doesn't work I just bought a blow torch. That rubber strap wrench looks like a great idea though so I might swing by and try that in the meantime...

    IT'S OFF!

I got a $9 strap wrench from Home Depot and it loosened the ring with minimal effort- in fact it was so easy I thought the strap slipped. Then I used a single blank round to "shoot" it off into a box full of my cleaning rags.

Now I just need to clean the heck out of the mount / can interface.

    Thanks everyone!
