Deciding between Saker or Saker K in 556

This will be my first suppressor on my first SBR- 11.5"- and I am trying to decide between the full size Saker or K. I have read a lot about the K but cannot find many recent reviews or comparisons.

This will be used for HD so size is important, along with sound and flash reduction. As far as taking classes and shooting the gun goes I'd want it to be light as possible. So with all that I think the K wins, however, does the 4 or so db make a huge difference? Is there a lot more flash with it compared to the full size?

Has the length and weight of the Saker ever been an issue?

I think flash and sound suppression is more important than weight and size if the differences are significant. If not I think the K will serve well.
It is from the construction of underground FEMA camps. I can't say more because there a guy parked in front of house in an AMC Pacer. He is acting like he talking on the phone, but I know better.

I have to sign off now & put my laptop in the microwave.

It sounds to me like you want the Specwar K. Shorter then the Saker, quieter than the Saker K, lighter then either (both in weight and on your wallet).

If just going 556, go with the K. Minis are the way to go as 556 is a loud round as is.

I have read that a lot. I think that is what I may do.

You should definitely go shorter and lighter. I picked up the specwar a short while before the specwar k came out. While it's exceeded my expectations, if both had been available I would absolutely have chosen the k version.

You can find SOCOM Minis for <$900 if you look.

My dealer price matched Lanbo's $800 deal, so I went for it!

I have a Saker 556 that I've been very happy with. However, if the K had been available when I bought it, I would have gone that route instead.

I've had my 5.56 Saker K for a few months now, and I am extremely pleased with it. With 5.56 being as loud as it is even with a suppressor, the small difference in db's between the full size Saker and Saker K was fine for me. I went with the Saker K over the Specwar K because I am already heavily invested in AAC 51 tooth mounts, also I believe that the Saker K is rated to go down to shorter barrels than the Specwar K.

Have you shot with it at night? Any problems with fireballs or a lot of flash?
