    New SilencerCo product announced today

Looks like SiCo just launched these: http://www.store.silencerco.com/coll...s/blast-shield. ASR available now and MAAD version to be released soon.

That makes two new SilencerCo products announced today! (Well, three if you count the Glock metric barrels)

    About time!

Can't wait for the MAAD trifecta version.

ETA: Unfortunately it's going to be almost 3x the price of Surefire's warden. $310.00 (Trifecta MAAD mount) +$145.00 (blast shield)

Huge price difference: SiCo $455.00 vs Surefire $170.00
I honestly hope the street price is cheaper, or at least offer a discount for the complete set. I would have liked to SiCo forgo the modularity of the blast shield and last incorporate out into the ASR or MAAD mount. That would have saved some machining and cost.

Surefire Warden does a better job of meeting the consumer's intent too.

I am looking forward to trying one of these out. I settled on the Specwar line so the ASR compatibility is perfect. I am looking to significantly tame my 11.5" upper with ASR brake when unsuppressed. That thing will knock the fillings out of your teeth on a 10 round string.

So, has anyone used one of these? I have 2 Silencerco suppressors (an Omega and a Specwar 556k) in jail and am looking for the best muzzle devices for the hosts. An 8" 300 BLK and a 11.5 556. I'd like to be able to enjoy them with & without a can...

If you're not in a big rush, I have a guy working on an aftermarket piece for the ASR muzzle devices. Definitely be a better deal than the SiCo product.

    Details in this thread.

I have one but I haven't messed with it yet because shooting unsuppressed sucks.

I'll try to bring it next time I got to the range.

The blast shield is just to prevent the mount from becoming a "loudener" when the can isn't attached, correct?

    Seems pricey.
