--PARIS ATTACKS--: shootings in city centre and explosion at Stade de France (NSFW)

Saw news footage of a couple French cops with what appeared to be Remington 870P's. Didn't know that shotguns were a part of their arsenal.

Agree. Fortunately - or unfortunate for the normal citizens who are not "privileged" - these European women and men had an (apparently) off-duty privileged cop who was armed. Note, the known presence of a firearm was not a total deterrent. Simple observation would be that these types are very, very emboldened by a Euro-centric, socialist sheep mentality...

Bad idea to not have your ladies ski-daddle quicker. Bad idea to continue to turn your back on aggressives throwing skull numbing objects.

My French is a little rusty, so perhaps some Casanova can translate for us.

Im not sure he was carrying enough rounds for that situation unfortunately. Glad it didn't get worse.

And we all know how that would have ended had he not been armed. But presence of a gun never deters violence right? It's good to see off duty LEO can carry off duty. I have two friends who are Canadian LE in major city, also on the tac team, who have to check in their fire arms end of shift. So after they have dealt with criminals all day, they get to leave work un armed. If that's not the most farked up thing I ever heard. I'd never be an LEO under those conditions and my utmost respect to anyone who would.

The full video was posted a page or 2 back, or maybe a different thread, and the cops got punked by these guys. They were looking for a rapist and got shut down big time.
