I have a MRB 300 blackout 15" fluted barrel. Beneath the gas port section of the barrel (carbine length gas tube) there is a deep groove in the front (muzzle end) of the gas block portion of the bottom of the barrel, situated perpendicular to the barrel. I assume this is for the gas block set screw. However, I tried a low profile gas block with two set screws and neither of the screws line up with the groove. I have been unable to find a gas block that only uses one screw, and there is no dimple on the barrel behind (breach end) the groove. I have read about clamp on gas blocks but would like to use a gas block with a set screw so it cannot move like a clamp on type could. Does anyone make a gas block for this barrel (low profile so I can install a 15" handguard)?
