The price doesn't bother me but look how wide the rear sight is. Who needs knob adjustable windage on a backup sight?? They made the same mistake Bobro did.

They're priced to make a return, not priced to sell to everyone. We may not know Rainier's costs, but assume they did some market analysis and didn't just pick a price out of a hat. Although the vid guy's "I'll be getting a set to put on the rest of my rifles" sales quip was cute at that price.
Also, GH41, I'm assuming they are marketing towards a competition crowd. Or at that price point they felt the feature was expected.
Either way, it's a niche, or it's a luxury, which describes most of the products tacked on to rifles.
As a company, I have no small amount of respect for them. If you've ever seen an interview or profile of Mr. Hwang, the man has his head on straight.
They don't look too bad to me. The knob doesn't really bother me... assuming it's stout enough not to spin out of zero under rough handling.

They're a bit pricy but, they are German made precision instruments, and that doesn't come cheap. That said, for that price I'd rather go with Knights Micros.

I like these sights.
Compared to Troy's or KAC's the price isn't bad. If they are as durable has they look, I might pick up a set.

The quantity of people here lambasting RA for the price of their BUIS is a little depressing. If you want a bargain, the Magpul MBUS sights are good.
Nobody ever got shot climbing over the wall into East Berlin.
Delivering the most precision possible, at the greatest distance possible, with the highest rate of fire possible.
Like Magpul?
Your perspective is that which would be typical of a cop. Mine is from that of an economist. That may be why you misunderstood my point.
Releasing $250 back up iron sights that are high quality is a great treat to those of us who enjoy quality kit (and let's insert some real talk, they're not that much more than the ubiquitous Troy BUIS set) but if times are slow (and they are) and you're releasing products that people aren't buying...how does the light bill get paid?
It's a free market. They can ask $600 for those sites, and I can refuse to pay $600 for them. Depressing? I wouldn't have it any other way. I find it funny that I'm being lambasted for ensuring RA's business model is one that is has their long term best interest in mind. I like their company; I want them to succeed.
Why do the loudest do the least?
They're not that expensive, at least it isn't $250 for just the rear or front! These are interesting sights, I'm already set with KAC, carry handle and MBUS Pro but I would take a good look at these if Im in the market for new sights again.
What is wrong with adjustable windage? I like being able to adjust windage without tools, and I never had a problem with my adjustments getting knocked off.
So you are on a firearm board complaining that an actual user of weapon doesn't understand your remark which you wrote as an "economist"? That is laughable. You didn't write it as an economist, or you would have presented it that way. You wrote it crying like a little kid who wasn't getting their way. Now you change your tune when you are called out on it. I've personally seen what John Hwang started out with, and where he is today, so I'll stick with his proven success over your attempts to backtrack.
Regarding your Magpul comment, you are truly an ignorant individual as shown by your own words.
Thankfully, your posts don't seem to appear very often in this section.
