Narrowed my search to 2 scopes. Accupower and VX3. Thoughts?

    Hi guys,

Ive been obsessing over optics for the past couple of weeks and narrowed my search to the Leupold VX3 PN 67585 Illuminated Duplex and Trijicon Accupower 1900019 Green Illuminated Duplex.

    https://www.leupold.com/hunting-shoo...nated-reticle/
    https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/produ...RS22-C-1900019

The crosshairs on the Leupold are .2moa, the Accupower .125
The magnification on Leupold is 3.5-10, the accupower 2.5-10
Lens size on Leupold is 50, the Accupower is 56

Did I narrow down to the correct scopes and reticles?

    The Gun:
16: 5.56 Mega arms barrel, keymod rail, RCA BCG, Mega Upper receiver, Mega Lower, Mega Trigger, Mega Slide Lock charging handle. Mega advertises the barrel as sub-moa.

My objective was to have an illuminated scope of better or equal quality to my M223 and Viper PST. I originally wanted an illuminated dot, but with Im really just groups on paper. The dot was about 1moa and that would cover too much of the target for really precise shots. I use the word precise loosely because the my local range maxes out at 300 yards and Ill mostly be shooting at 100-200.

If cost were equal, which scope would you choose and why? The VX3 retails for more, but there is a rebate making them closer.

what meets your needs? I look at reticle and what will be reliable . meaning if I click it once, is it really what they say it is? .250 MOA or not. a lot of scopes aren't true adjustments

I'm not concerned about "a lot of scopes" How does that relate to these 2?

IMO no on both ... way over kill on a 5.56 and border line useless with a duplex.

Wait a few more pay checks and get something more useful.

How much paper punching do you really do in low-light?

Get the one with the thinnest crosshair for target shooting.
