I have a colt LE6920 that has the non removable front sight. Any suggestions on scope rings/mount for this? Do I have to get the scope higher the front sight or does that matter?

1.5" above the rail is normal. You'll see right through the FSB at anything over 3-4X.
So almost any scope rings will work?
It does not matter whatsoever.
There are currently 220,000 US Marines using magnified optics behind fixed front sights and every year they successfully qualify out to 500 yards with no issues.
Why do the loudest do the least?
Ok thank you. Any suggestions on brand or anything?
Not wanting to spend too much right now. Buddy asked if I wanted to join him deer hunting. Only rifle I have for now is my 6920 and I have a scope so just need something decent to mount it right now.
A LaRue SPR 1.5 will work just great.

If you want inexpensive look at Aero Precision makes a good mount.

In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

I used a Cantilever Mount for my AR and you cant see the front sight, if you really look hard while slightly moving you head you can see a little shadow but nothing that affects shooting at the range.
What state are you in? Some states have minimum caliber rules that don't allow 5.56. If legal you should look for heavier bullets designed for hunting and keep the range you engage these deer at reasonable. I am sure to get flamed but 5.56 is not a long range deer bullet.
