    Question rolling your own mk262?

i spend most of my time reloading 7.62 NATO (.308) ammo, and tend to just buy .223/5.56.

i'd like to experiment with the mk262 load. IIRC, this is kinda hard to find.

who's got info on primer, powder, and bullet? velocities?

    thanks!

I use 24gr Reloder 15 and Nosler 77OTM and Winchester small rifle primers. The last 1,000 projectiles I got from Midway were about $160. Don't know the velocity but do know it works out to maybe 30 cents per round and is plenty accurate at 300 yards in my match AR. Laugh at the Winny primers if you will, but I've never had one fall out of its pocket. I did have one slamfire at a match in the offhand stage, where you single load and drop the bolt with the latch. A Distinguished Rifleman told me right away that clipping one coil off the buffer spring would fix that.
When life gives you lemons, insert copper and zinc wires in them and repeatedly shock your tongue.
