Picked one up today paid $1190 plus tax, LGS where I found it has a history of high prices. Can't wait to take it out as soon as the weather breaks.
I'am actually quite intimidated posting here with all the experience on this forum, I'am not LEO, ex military or an industry professional. I'am however a fan of Colt, always have been and always will be, my grandad owned a Buick dealership and carried a 1903 pocket hammerless for work that I obtained after his death, my son carried his Colt M4 through 2 tours of duty courtesy of the 82nd airborne, so since I already own a BCM middie I knew I had to have this.

I'd like to publicly thank Joe R a member here for his insight and vast firearms knowledge too . Put the MOE SL K stock on it from my OEM 1, no optic yet either, must save $$.

I was wondering how long it would be before one of these made it out into the wild. An actual real live user.

CCU is apparently in the nomenclature as well from a just-now Google attempt, but yeah, I missed that!

Before you suggest that licensing, background checks, or other restrictions for the 2nd Amendment are reasonable... Apply those same ideas to the 1st and 4th Amendments. Then tell me how reasonable they are.

That is a very nice looking carbine modelbuilder56. Please keep us updated on how the carbine performs!

No need to be intimidated here, this site has a great group of guys who like to shoot, and train so they take their gear seriously where performance and function are concerned. The industry professionals and subject matter experts can teach you a lot if you pay attention, regardless of your background. I'm former military and have learned a great deal here too.

I have yet to see anyone trash a new member here unless the new guy was clearly trolling, and even then the moderators are pretty quick to put the brakes on and try to get everyone back on track. Welcome.

This CCU is, IMO, the first game-changer to hit the market in years. Mid length gas system, reliable MFG, M LOK FF rail from a good MFG, quality furniture, and all for a confusingly low price. I do not see a down side...

To hell with them. They're as bad as H&K.

No HK was the one company that stood up to 94 weapons ban and paid the biggest price for it.

I remember talking to an H K Rep back in 94 and he was convinced until the last minute that their lobbyist was going to be able to kill it . The first H and K pistol I bought back in 1992 had an NRA application and A promise to match funds. H and K has been screwed over by more governments and frankly the 1989 import ban executive order which I think we can assume was pushed by Colt, Ruger, and other domestic manufacturers-- only to backfire on them and be used on them as a model a few years later--karma.
