Aw crap. Forgot about that one. In the spirit of internet arguing and semantics nonsense I point out that Colt doesn't actually build those guns from what we hear, they just market them.

H and K has been screwed over by more governments and frankly the 1989 import ban executive order which I think we can assume was pushed by Colt, Ruger, and other domestic manufacturers-- only to backfire on them and be used on them as a model a few years later--karma.
Yup this what they did. One inside source I have confirmed this. Thanks for posting this Greg.

I just got mine in today. Mine has a MK18 (or what everyone else uses as a standard) 6-Position Receiver Extension. I swapped out a few things (Geissele Super Tricon, BCM Charging Handle, Aluminum Trigger Guard) and added a few (Troy Sights, MVG). Haven't decided on optics. It's definitely a medium-Lightweight contour and chopped FSB. Not the easiest solution but it works. Has a nice balance. This is the Colt I've done the least dicking around with before getting it 'suitable' for me.

After rack M4s/SOPMOD Block IIs, I've been spoiled by Noveske's for years. Still miss my old friend and have plenty of his rifles, but this Colt will be in the rotation. Not revolutionary for most companies but certainly is for Colt.

As far as the 6 Position, I spoke to customer service recently and they said when they run out of 4 positions or have excess MK18 ones they throw them on LE6920 lowers. No rhyme or reason, but you will see them from time to time FYI. It was exciting to talk to someone at Colt that is a gun person. They are also doing more batches of AR6951s. It's actually exciting to see that the company cares about the civilian market, even if it's short lived before another bankruptcy LOL

Expanse in general! They definitely sought the bottom feeders in the market, not sure how the sales are, but at least all of the ones I've seen have legit Colt lowers unlike some of the real cheesy ones that looked like bootleg lowers

Grant, do you know if there is a 14.5in barrel version of this gun in the works? I heard rumors there is one in the making.

I'm not Grant, but I think we should be happy we have his one for now 😀

Mines been a nice smooth shooter. I'm using it to try out 'new' stuff I haven't found a home for yet like the Geissele Super 42 and a set up MBUS Pro (Rear is the LR version). I'm enjoying it!

I'm sure you could Specialzed Armament do it for the price of 8 Noveske's 😎

I'm up for an OEM colt middy, I personally like Colt. Not saying I wouldn't accept a DD mid length or BCM mid length, but I've always liked Colts quality of firearms. They may have ignored the Civilian market but not anymore

I have expressed to them that they need to do this. All I am is the "idea fairy." With that said, I am fairly connected within Colt and do get my opinions heard by the right people. We shall see.....
